Welcome to the 13th Montreal Asian International Film Festival!

Join us on May 14, 2026, at Cinéma du Musée for our exciting Opening Ceremony! This year is a landmark for us, marking 30 years since our journey began. Under our new motto, UNBOUND, we continue our mission by celebrating diverse Asian-Canadian voices through our theme Tangibility: Soil, Body, Stories. Our opening night will showcase the best of Asian cinema, and we invite you all to come early to kick off the festival together.
Before the screening: Come early and join us for an opening reception with light refreshments, served in the lobby before the screening. The night begins with an intimate Welcome Reception featuring live music, guest speeches, and a selection of Asian foods. This is your chance to connect with other artists and filmmakers before we enter the theatre.
Meet your hosts: The ceremony will be moderated bilingually by vibrant Montreal artists Tina (Big Daddy Queen Power) and Jinwoo Park (award-winning author and MAiFF Communications Director). Together, they will ignite the stage as our hosts, with a special musical performance by Tina!
Ticketing: Early Bird tickets are currently ON SALE, only until MAY 5! Early bird tickets are $25 for GA.
