Arts East-West (AEW) presents Montreal artist Crystal Chan’s interactive audio odyssey, in which technology reshapes memory, trauma, and the diasporic body.

Eighty Thousand Steps (2023, 19 min for the first episode) is an interactive audio journey that explores memory, family, and migration through the real experiences of Asian-Canadians reconnecting with their cross-border identities. Through innovative and thought-provoking approaches, Chan's work invites viewers to reflect on the complexities of belonging and representation in a globalized world.
