Why Your Support Matters

Your contribution helps sustain Montreal's premier platform for Asian and Asian Canadian cinema while bolstering an inclusive creative community. The Korean Film Festival Canada serves as a beacon for Asian Canadian, Asian, and international Asian works, with Korean cinema as its cornerstone and inspiration.

This pioneering cultural initiative, with roots stretching back over 30 years in Montreal from first-generation artists, now thrives through a dedicated team of young professionals and volunteers from diverse cultural backgrounds. These individuals eagerly develop their skills and invest their precious time and creative talents at the frontier of building our burgeoning arts community together.

Their invaluable efforts have built meaningful connections between diverse cultural expressions through supportive local collaborations and institutions that have visibly flourished, particularly since 2020.

The 12th edition of KFFC (May 22nd - June 28th, 2025) continues our theme "Arts & Technologies: Sleep, Dream, Body" and will be presented at iconic Montreal venues including Cinéma du Musée, Cinéma Moderne, Centre Création Nyata Nyata, the Goethe-Institut Montreal, and Bassin Peel. The festival explores the fascinating intersection of creative works and technological advancements through the lens of Asian cinema and media art.

About Arts East-West

Arts East-West is a non-profit media arts organization based in Montreal, founded by Mi-Jeong Lee (media artist and PhD scholar) in 1995, formerly known as Ciné-Asie. Over the years, our mission has deepened to enrich the voices of Asian Canadians by honouring their specific cultural heritages through artistic practice both within Canada and globally.

Our collective visions—shared by our artists, community partners, collaborators, and passionate young team members—come brilliantly to life through our annual signature event: the Korean Film Festival Canada (KFFC)!
