Title: General Director / General Coordinator
Term of contract: Short-term, dates to be discussed. 
Compensation: Volunteer, with possibility of honorarium. 
Working conditions: Mostly remote, with some possibility of in-person meetings. 

Position Summary: 
‍Arts East-West is recruiting an experienced General Director or General Coordinator to give guidance and mentorship to the current team. The director/coordinator will lend their expertise to the organisation and help train the next generation of Asian-Canadian arts professionals. 

Responsibilities: 

• To be discussed with the applicant on a case-by-case basis, depending on their experience and willingness to mentor in certain areas.

Title: French Grant Writer
Term of contract: Short-term, dates to be discussed. 
Compensation: Volunteer, with possibility of honorarium.

Position Summary:
Arts East-West is recruiting an experienced Grant Writer to assist with grant applications in the French-language funding sectors. The Grant Writer will work closely with the team to build future pathways for Arts East-West’s funding. 

Responsibilities: 

• Research potential grants and funding opportunities that AEW is eligible for 
• Assist in writing grant proposals based on provided information
• Provide helpful tips and suggestions for strengthening future grant applications 
• Assist in translating certain grant application content from English to French 
• Additional tasks as required

Title: Marketing Director 
Term of contract: Short-term, dates to be discussed. 
Compensation: Volunteer, with possibility of honorarium.

Position Summary:
Arts East-West is recruiting an experienced Marketing Director to assist with marketing efforts for our yearly events, the Montreal Asian International Film Festival and Book Dongne. The Marketing Director will also give mentorship and guidance to the current team.

Compensation:‍

These are volunteer positions; however, honorariums may be provided on a case-by-case basis, depending on funding availability. 

A note on where we stand: all of our leadership positions are currently volunteer-based. This year alone, we made our events a success with just 1 full-time employee, 2 contractors, 2 paid interns, and 15 emerging professionals and volunteers working unpaid. We're committed to shifting this model toward a more sustainable, fairly paid structure as we grow.
