Synopsis:
In a quiet Korean fishing village facing economic decline, Yeong-guk, an aging captain, and his crew member Yong-su navigate the complexities of loss, identity, and societal prejudice. When Yong-su stages his own disappearance to escape the village's hardships, the community is left to grapple with the ensuing emotional and social turmoil. The film delves into the lives of its residents, including Yong-su's Vietnamese wife, highlighting themes of xenophobia and the struggles of immigrant women in insular communities.
