Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for the 12th Korean Film Festival Canada’s Opening Night!

Despite the rainy Montreal weather, we were honoured to welcome over 100 guests from diverse artistic communities—including artists, arts professionals, university students, and esteemed government representatives.

We also extend our gratitude to everyone who attended our K-Shorts: 5 Leading Voices - Women Directors screening at Cinéma Moderne on May 24th. The full house, your audible laughter and moments of suspense made this event truly special, and we are delighted to hear that attendees enjoyed both the program and the welcoming atmosphere we strive to cultivate.

Special thanks to Tina Big Daddy Queen Power, our MC and music performer; Mr. Chaouki Dakdouki, General Director of Quebec Region, Heritage Canada; Consul General and ICAO Ambassador Mr. Jae Wan Lee; AEW's Board of Directors and Film Director Vincent Toi (@v_toi) ; Filmmaker Masoud Raouf (@raouf.masoud); Filmmaker Philip Szporer (@philipszporer), Filmmaker Xiaodan He (@xiaodan_he). Heartfelt thanks for the abundant fresh flowers from Dr. Youngsup Chung, M. Jihyun Daniel Yi and Madame Haeran Woo from MKDC, and Mr. Kwansu Park, President of Art et Fleurs. These flowers accentuated the KFFC and will continue to travel with us to different venues, sharing the colours and scents of the 12th KFFC 2025! Can't forget about Dano Foods' (@danofood) chefs for beautiful green dishes!
